Deadline for submitting abstracts is December 1, 2018.
Notification of acceptance will by made by January 25, 2019.
Registration opens on January 25 and closes on March 31, 2019.
The conference fee is 230 Euro, and 180 Euro for students. Included in the fee is the conference dinner, reception, and refreshments during the course of the symposium. Lunches are not organized but there is a number of restaurants in and around Harpa.
CenterHotels offers NDS2019 conference guests 15% discount during and around the time of the conference. It is possible to choose between six hotels, all of which are located downtown Reykjavík, in the vicinity and walking distance of Harpa. The offer applies to the standard rate that can be found on the hotel's website: www.centerhotels.com.
To get the discount, the room has to be booked by email (). Please specify that you are attending the 2019 Nordic Demographic Symposium (including NDS2019 in the subject header would facilitate things) and which of the six hotels your reservation request applies to.

Parking spaces are available in and around Harpa to those traveling by car.
The time zone in Iceland is Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) and in June the clock is thus two hours behind Stockholm.

The airport in Keflavík is approx a 45 minute drive from the center of Reykjavík. Fly-buses and taxicabs are
located outside of the terminal.
Refreshments will be served in Norðurbryggja, Harpa.
The reception is hosted by the City of Reykjavík at the City Hall, Tjarnargötu 11 (see on map).
The Conference Dinner on Friday will take place at the lobster Restaurant Við Fjöruborðið in Stokkseyri, a small sea village located ca. 50 minutes outside of Reykjavík. We will meet outside Harpa where there will be buses waiting for us.
